What this policy covers

SOORYA shows Panchang, calculated timings, vrats, festivals, reminders and a home-screen widget. This policy explains the current Android app. Separate websites opened in your browser have their own policies.

Location

You may choose a listed city without granting location permission. If you select GPS, SOORYA requests Android location permission and reads a recent location or requests a current fix to calculate local Panchang timings. The app does not continuously track you and does not request background-location permission.

Your selected coordinates and city are saved in the app's private storage. The app's festival-feed request does not include your GPS coordinates or selected city. Location can be denied in Android settings; you can choose a listed city instead.

Information stored on your phone

SOORYA stores your city and coordinates, language and alert settings, calculated Panchang cache, a downloaded festival calendar and local reminder schedules. If you choose Share, the app creates a Panchang image in its cache and opens Android's share sheet so you can choose where to send it.

Internet and third parties

The app automatically requests a public Indian-holidays calendar from calendar.google.com over HTTPS at launch and during background preparation. The request does not intentionally attach your name, account, city or GPS coordinates. As with any internet request, Google receives connection information, including your IP address and request metadata. Google may log or process this information under its own policy. We do not control those logs or their retention.

Read Google's privacy policy. When you open ChhathFM or an image-credit/license link, your browser connects to that website; its provider may receive IP/browser information under its own policy. These are external websites, not an embedded SOORYA account or chat.

No account, ads or analytics

This version has no SOORYA sign-in, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or developer-operated crash-reporting service. It does not ask for your contacts, messages, microphone, camera, payment details or access to your personal calendar. The app does not upload your saved GPS coordinates to a SOORYA server. Google feed requests and separate website visits are described above; we do not claim that all network activity is anonymous.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone using Android background work. Notification permission is required on supported Android versions. You can change alerts in SOORYA or turn notifications off in Android settings. Android may delay alerts and widget refreshes.

Backup, retention and deletion

Android backup is enabled for this version. Your operating system may back up app data, including saved settings and cached data, according to your device and account settings. SOORYA does not operate that backup service.

Preferences remain until changed or app data is cleared. Old dated Panchang cache entries are periodically removed; festival cache is replaced when successfully refreshed. To remove local app data, use Android Settings > Apps > SOORYA > Storage > Clear storage. Uninstalling removes the app's local storage; platform backups may remain or be restored on reinstall. Manage those separately in your device/account backup controls. You can cancel notification delivery in Android settings. There is no SOORYA account to delete.

We cannot directly delete Google or other third-party server logs. Use the relevant provider's privacy controls or inquiry process. If you contact us voluntarily, your email provider and ours process the correspondence; do not send sensitive details. The developer must set and publish a support-correspondence retention policy before publishing this page: apptechie3@gmail.com.

Security

App data is kept in Android's app-private storage. The implemented festival-feed connection uses HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security. Data sent through your chosen sharing app or an external website is subject to that service's security practices.

Children and changes

SOORYA contains religious and calendar reference material, not a social network. This policy does not claim a child-directed service or certified Families compliance. The developer's selected audience is shown in the store listing. We may update this policy when the app's features or data practices change and will update the date above.

हिंदी में गोपनीयता जानकारी

SOORYA पंचांग, व्रत, त्योहार, गणना किए गए समय, रिमाइंडर और विजेट दिखाता है। शहर चुनकर बिना स्थान अनुमति के ऐप चला सकते हैं। GPS चुनने पर फोन का हाल का या वर्तमान स्थान लेकर गणना होती है। लगातार ट्रैकिंग या बैकग्राउंड स्थान अनुमति नहीं ली जाती। चुना गया शहर, निर्देशांक, भाषा और अलर्ट सेटिंग फोन पर सहेजे जाते हैं।

ऐप Google के सार्वजनिक त्योहार कैलेंडर को HTTPS से अपने आप अपडेट करता है। इस अनुरोध में आपका नाम, शहर या GPS निर्देशांक नहीं जोड़े जाते। Google को इंटरनेट कनेक्शन की जानकारी, जैसे IP पता और अनुरोध की जानकारी, मिलती है। उसका उपयोग और रिकॉर्ड रखने के नियम Google की नीति के अनुसार हैं; उनका नियंत्रण हमारे पास नहीं है। बाहरी वेबसाइट या ChhathFM ब्राउज़र में खोलने पर उस वेबसाइट की नीति लागू होती है।

इस संस्करण में SOORYA खाता, विज्ञापन SDK या एनालिटिक्स SDK नहीं है। संपर्क, संदेश, कैमरा, माइक्रोफोन, भुगतान जानकारी या आपके निजी कैलेंडर की अनुमति नहीं मांगी जाती। रिमाइंडर फोन पर चलते हैं; Android की अनुमति और बैटरी सीमाएं लागू होती हैं।

Android बैकअप चालू है। डिवाइस और खाते की सेटिंग के अनुसार ऐप डेटा का बैकअप हो सकता है। स्थानीय डेटा हटाने के लिए Android सेटिंग > ऐप्स > SOORYA > स्टोरेज > डेटा साफ करें चुनें। बैकअप अलग से डिवाइस/खाते में नियंत्रित करें। SOORYA खाता नहीं है जिसे हटाना पड़े। Google या बाहरी सेवाओं के लॉग हम सीधे नहीं हटा सकते।
